Super absorbent polymer (abbr. SAP), also named Potassium Polyacrylate, is a high molecular polymer with strong water absorption. After filled with water, SAP will release the water slowly to roots when soil is dry, and repeatedly absorb water when rain to keep the plant with plenty of water, SAP has the capacity of absorbing 300-500 times of water, and it can save 65%--95% of water. It is mainly used in agriculture plants.

2. Food additive sodium polyacrylate is water-soluble polymer, soluble in water to form very sticky transparent liquid. The viscosity of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC), 15 to 20 times the sizes of Sodium Alginate, heat treatment, neutral salt, Organic acids on its viscosity, smaller alkaline viscosity increases, when the long viscosity changes little. It has the thickening, emulsification, informs, stability, and other functions, the generral principles of using food additives(GB 2760-2014) specified in the can according to production need to add in all kinds of food.
During solution polymerization, monomers are dissolved in a solvent that contains a catalyst to induce polymerization. Solution polymerization in water utilizes water as the solvent which means that the end product formed from the reaction is soluble in water. Inverse emulsion polymerization requires water, monomers, and a surfactant. Also, inverse emulsion polymerization is used to polymerize hydrophilic monomers. Hydrophobic monomers are emulsified through an aqueous phase. Free radicals are created in order to produce the polymer with either water or oil soluble initiators. Inverse suspension polymerization is carried out by using an aqueous solution of the monomer, cross-linking agent, and initiator which is then added to an organic phase which is stabilized by a surfactant. Plasma polymerization utilizes a range of technologies such as electron beams, ultraviolet radiation, or glow discharge in order to form polymers from a vapor made out of monomers.
